Art: Outside The Box

LI: To create a picture by thinking outside the box.

For this activity we had to take a random shape and turn it into a picture! The first thing that i thought about this shape was a nose. I chose a fish because i was really interested in swordfish when i was young. I realised that the shapes spike was too small for it to be a sword fish so i decided to mix it with a fish. This was all really fun!

Morse Code ~ DLO

LI: Learn the simple things about morse code

For my 2nd Anzac challenge i did morse code. I chose this because i found it interesting that you can communicate by using only two different symbols. I created this DLO to explain what morse code is and a fact i found interesting about morse code. Our challenge was to write down a fact using only morse code. I wrote down "Morse code was named after Samuel Morse who helped invent it". Morse code helped the ships at sea by communicating over long distance by using their lights to flash.

NMC ~ Poster

LI: Design a simple poster

For my first Anzac challenge i designed a poster on Google Drawings. The poster above is what i designed in around 30 minutes. The poster i made is to call all men to join the NMC/ Native Maori Contingent. This was a challenge for me because i only had one program to design on. I usually design artwork on Adobe Photoshop not Google Draw. I also learned some new tools as i accomplished my goal on learning something new.

Tech (Sounds & Lights)

This week for tech we learned how to make the m bots make different sounds and lights. Miss Ferguson gave us a challenge! We had to make the song, “Happy Birthday” with the beats that we were provided. It was complicated but i managed to do half of the song but still need to finish the rest. We added the codes from the slide bar then uploaded it to check it. Mrs Ferguson recorded us learning how to use the lights. After that we finished, packed up, and went back to school.
