This year Manaiakalani has set cybersmart challenges for us, and we have to complete them each day. The first activities for today were learning about the Kawa of Care 1 and 2, and the last activity was to take a picture of ourselves. The first two activities were a fill in the sentence activities relating to keeping our chromebooks safe and the last one was to simply take a photo of ourselves.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

We first tried to find out how much metres of material were needed to make one ta'ovala. After find out how much one is, we the multiplied the one to twenty six. We broke down twenty six by twenty & six. We the multiplied both twenty and six by the one, and we added both products together to find out the answer.

Cyber Smart Ctrl+f - Gourds
LI: Explore Ctrl+F
For Cybersmart we made a DLO (Digital Learning Object) on Gourds. When researching we used Control F which was made to write a word in, and when you wrote the word, the word you typed in would show up. When smart searching we had to search with a key word or key phrase. When finding the information we had to use Control F and then skim and scan the information. Skimming and Scanning is reading fast, to look for the information you need.
