Problem Solving | Tangrams

LI: To make connections to problem solving.

This week for reading we had a problem with the internet connection so we decided to make tangrams with LS1. The lesson was all about problem solving and collaborating. The only objects we had were A4 papers and scissors. We started with an A4 paper and started folding and cutting. The paper ended up in different shapes. All of us problem solved and created different animals such as dogs, cats, turtles etc. The steps were really simple if we listened carefully. This was fun and challenging because we needed to change the orientation of the shapes and position    ` them to fit. Tangrams were actually invented in china around 200-300 years ago, they are ancient puzzles that people used to trade with.
